Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to Alliant TechSystems (ATK) Missile Systems Company LLC, Woodland Hills, CA, for Risk Reduction and Producibility of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM). This effort is a follow on to a SBIR phase III project to demonstrate a replacement multimode seeker for the AGM-88 High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM). Specifically, the AGM-88E AARGM will include a multi-mode seeker incorporating an anti-radiation homing receiver and associated conformal antenna, millimeter wave radar, a global positioning system/inertial navigation system and a modified control section which will be mated to an AGM-88B or AGM-88C HARM rocket motor and warhead. ATK is the sole designer and developer of the AARGM currently under contract performing risk reduction and producibility enhancements. As such, ATK possesses the unique knowledge and insights regarding ongoing AARGM developments in risk reduction and producibility. This RR&P effort is expected to conclude in September 2003. Note 22 applies.
