- Description
- The National Cancer Institute (NCI) seeks contractors to provide operational support to the NCI through the issuance of Task Orders for a vast array of activities including the conduct of scientific meetings, dissemination of information to scientific and medical communities, as well as to the public, and tasks in support of these activities, which are vital to the success of NCI's mission. This effort will represent the main source of support for meeting planning, preparation of reports, correlated communications, data management, evaluation, and various administrative functions. The goal of these efforts is to help monitor research programs, transfer research results to health care providers and other researchers, assess the state-of-the-science on topics of special interest, convey clinical recommendations, create opportunities for collaborations, and inform the public of cancer-related health concerns. The scope of NCI's activities are both national and international. The Government may issue individual Task Order contracts in one or all of the following functional areas during the life of the basic contracts: (1) Scientific Meeting Support; (2) Documentation; (3) Communications; (4) Administrative Support; (5) Evaluation; and (6) Data Manipulation. Offerors responding to this solicitation must be capable of providing support in all six (6) functional areas. This solicitation is anticipated to result in multiple awards to offerors capable of performing all work described in the Statement of Work. The contract type anticipated will be indefinite delivery contracts with task order provisions for a one-year period with options for four additional one-year periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561110 with a size standard of $6,000,000. Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N02-CO-31001-17 will be available on or about June 30, 2002 and receipt of proposals will be due on or about August 15, 2002. The RFP will only be available electronically and may be accessed through the National Cancer Institute's Research Contracts Branch (RCB) Home Page at http://rcb.nci.nih.gov/ Once at the RCB's Home Page select Current Request for Proposals. All information required for the submission of a proposal will be contained in the electronic RFP package. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Government. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract(s).
