Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)has a requirement to provide labor, material, and equipment to remove and replace damaged sections of roof (holes) on Buildings 3 and 3A where the original roof has been destroyed by woodpeckers. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As the technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract services can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. (FAR.232-18) (April 1984). Procurements under Simplified Acquisition Procedures ($25,000-$100,000) are set-aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the need at a reasonable price.
