Description

The Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, P. O. Box 9115, Rosslyn Station, Arlington, VA 22219 will negotiate and award a sole source contract with Mitretek Systems, 3150 Fairview Park Drive South, Falls Church, VA 22042-4519 under authority of FAR 6.302-3. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This contract will be for systems research, development, economic, and engineering expertise in supporting information systems, strategic planning, and acquisition. DoS requires support in other areas such as technology management, technology evaluation, as well as independent validation and verification. Mitretek Systems, a non-profit corporation under Section 501-(c) (3), has unique business characteristics as well as an extensive range of technical skills that will provide essential capabilities to conduct explorative studies, independent investment decision analyses, business process reengineering, and IT systems analysis. In addition, the contractor is capable of establishing state-of-the art independent laboratories that can demonstrate proof-of-concept. This is not a request for proposals.
