- NAICS Code 238220. Work includes, but is not limited to: installation of eighteen (18) new hot water zone valves in various sizes from 1/2" to 1-1/4" 2 way and 3 way, approximately six hundred (600) feet of new pipe insulation in various sizes from 1/2" to 1-1/4", one new variable frequency drive for a 1hp motor, six (6) new pneumatic thermostats, new pipe and pipe fittings in order to connect all new valves and new pneumatic tubing to connect valves to hot water valves. All work will be performed at the U.S. Courthouse, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Security clearances will be required for all workers. Work to be completed within 45 calendar days after notice to proceed, with notice to proceed expected to be issued on/around June 1, 2003. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued February 27, 2003, with offers due on March 20, 2003. Anticipated award date is March 25, 2003. Information regarding a site visit will be announced in the solicitation. The solicitation will be made available electronically at the FedBizOpps website on the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading documents. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. A limited number of paper copies of the solicitation will be made available. Requests for paper copies must be made in writing to the Contracting Officer at PO Box 19, Aberdeen, SD 57402. Fax requests will be accepted at 605-226-7305. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources submitting an offer will be considered. A site visit is recommended. The subject drawings for this solicitation include Sensitive But Unclassified building information (SBU). For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the Document Security Notice (see Document Security Notice post in conjunction with this synopsis in FedBizOpps). All of the following information must be submitted and provided by the requester via the spaces provided in the Notice: 1) Copy of business license (or other documentation granted by the state or local jurisdiction to conduct business); 2) Company's Dun and Bradstreet number; and 3) Valid Tax Identification Number. The Notice shall be submitted to the point of contact cited herein. No e-mail copies will be accepted; however, facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the drawings will be sent to the address the requester has provided.
