Description

The contract will be to provide fully Contractor operated and maintained exclusive use helicopter flight services consisting of one light turbine helicopter (B206LIII, B407, AS350B2 or equal) in support of Bureau of Land Management wildland fire and resource management programs. One contract will be awarded with the helicopter being located at two different designated bases during the use period. Services will begin at Wickenburg, Arizona and move to Lewistown, Montana when determined by the Government. The Contractor will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration air carrier and operating specification for the category and class of aircraft required and furnished under the contract. As well, the Contractor will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations. The term of the contract is one year with options to renew for three additional years. The contract includes a mandatory 130-day exclusive use period beginning approximately May 1, 2003 through September 7, 2003. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is February 13, 2003 and approximate closing date is March 7, 2003. The solicitation will be available at this site and www.oas.gov/dam.
