Description
NSN: 2840-01-416-9863PR P/N: 1864M68G01 The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Noun: LPT ROTATING AIR SEAL. Item Description: The LPT Rotating Air Seal is a three stepped honeycomb cylindrical devise with a metal backing plate. Material and Dimensions are as follows: Material of the backing plate consists of INCO 718. The honeycomb ribbon is constructed from AMS 5536. The metal backing plate has an inside dimension of approximately 13.82 inches. The honeycomb steps measures approximately 13.39 inches, approximately 13.34 inches, and 13.24 inches. Applicable to: F110 Engine, F16 Aircraft and F101 Engine, B1B Aircraft. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: April 2004 Estimated Qty: At this time the estimated quantity is 129. Quantity Ranges will be solicited, 50-100, 101-151 and 152-202. The quantity listed can change before award. Contractors should quote on all quantities listed. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. THE FOLLOWING DATES ARE APPROXIMATE. CONTRACTORS SHALL REFER TO THE SOLICITATION FOR EXACT DATES. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 3 March 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 2 April 2003. The anticipated award date will be 18 April 2003. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. CONTRACTORS MUST OBTAIN A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION FROM THE FEDBIZOPPS WEBSITE. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation has been issued. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
