Description

NA The work consists of hauling, launching and complete re-powering and fendering system repairs to the patrol boat Marion. The repairs include removing all fuel from the vessel, removing the existing white fendering, removing and replacing any broken or bent or thread damaged titanium/aluminum studs, replacing the old fendering with new rubber fendering and removing the existing Cummins VT903M engines and MG509A gears and installing new Cummins C Series 6CTA8.8-M engines rated at 430 HP with MG507A 2:1 reduct ion marine gears. The Government will furnish the engines and gears. The work also includes installing, removing and/or modifying associated equipment as described in the Scope of Work. The patrol boat will be delivered by Government personnel. Quotes will be considered only from shipyards within 50 air miles of the Cape Cod Canal Field Office, Buzzards Bay, MA. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 17 March 2003. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible sources amy submit a quotation which will be con sidered by the New England District.
