Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award, to a qualified small business for the provision of solid waste removal/disposal for the United States Penitentiary (USP Marion), Rural Route 5, Little Grassy Road, Marion, IL, 62959. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months and four one-year option periods for renewal that will total sixty months from the date of award (if all option periods are exercised). The estimated quantities for the base period and each option year are as follows: Base Year - 114 (30) Yard Dumpster Pulls; Option Year 1 - 150 Pulls; Option Year 2 - 155 Pulls; Option Year 3 - 155 Pulls; Option Year 4 - 160 Pulls. All services provided must be in accordance with applicable solid waste disposal codes and regulations. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111, with a small business size standard of $10.5 million. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 11, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced web-site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposal is on or about April 11, 2003. All responsible small business sources are encouraged to submit a quotation which will be considered for award.
