Description
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Bluemont, VA intends to negotiate with Park Air Electronics (PAE), Annapolis, MD, on a sole source basis for the purchase of Radio Site Equipment Rack and associated peripheral equipment. It is necessary for FEMA to replace antiquated air traffic radio system which utilizes VHF and UHF transceivers along with a remote control capability. The UHF transceivers are operated in a Government band. Equipment to be purchased: Radio equipment rack 38U wired for VHF Transmitters, VHF Receivers, UHF Transmitters, UHF Receivers, Main/Standby & Data Units, T6 Hubs; Professional VHF Air Traffic Control Transmitter; Professional VHF Air Traffic Control Receiver; Professional UHF Air Traffic Control Transmitter; Professional UHF Air Traffic Control Receiver; MARC RSE2; Serial Interface Options; T6 Hub; T6 Controllers; Various Technical Manuals; Maintenance Kit; Installation support, if required. All the aforementioned items will be purchased as one complete package, thus, only one source will provide the required items. Based on market research, Park Air manufactures the complete package, ready for operation. Interested persons may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required equipment rack system, to include descriptive literature and pricing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
