Description
Period of Service: From date of award through a one year period. Contractor to purchase, pickup and remove from the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Laundry Facility, Railroad Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39507, a mixed variety of used hospital linens consisting of used fabrics and materials to include but not limited to: bed sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels, wash cloths, etc in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein. Contractor will arrange for pickup of "ALL" contained (either boxed or bagged) used linens. Arrangements for each pickup will be coordinated throught the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). The COTR will be designated to represent the Contracting Officer in requesting service and providing technical guidance and direction under this contract, but not to make changes, authorize, interpret or furnish financial or legal advice. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System will issue a bill for collection for payment after each pickup of linens. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System will direct removal actions to the awarded contractor. The Purchaser must make all arrangements necessary to protect persons and property from injury of damage during the removal of the above items. He/she shall be responsible for any injury to himself/herself, his/her employees or others as well as for any damage to personal or public property that occurs during their performance of this cotnract that is caused by his/her employees negligence. He/she shall maintain property insurance as prescribed by the laws of the State of Mississippi. Inspection of Premises: Bidders are requested to inspect the designated lot prior to submitting bids, if desired, to fully inform themselves of the character and conditions under which the removal of property is to be performed. Failure to do so will not relieve the successful bidder from performing in accordance with strict intent and meaning of the contract as specified in the Sale of Government Property without additional cost to the Government. This inspection must be arranged with the COTR. Written requests for sell of Government property must be faxed to Donna Frazza at 228-563-2675 or e-mailed to Donna.Frazza@med.va.gov.
