Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The 325th Contracting Squadron (325 CONS), Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, anticipates issuing a solicitation on or about 17 Apr 03, to acquire Military Family Housing Maintenance at Tyndall AFB, Florida. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary to perform maintenance management, routine and emergency maintenance, change of occupancy maintenance, appliance maintenance, and cleaning of 934 housing units, and other related real property and facilities. Military Family Housing Maintenance main functions include maintenance management, service calls, change of occupancy maintenance, recurring equipment maintenance, appliance management and cleaning. Service calls are emergency, urgent and routine type for interior and exterior maintenance and repair work requirements, which are generated by calls into a contractor-operated work desk by housing occupants and/or designated government representatives (e.g. housing inspectors). Service calls are also contractor initiated as specified in the contract. The contractor will provide service call maintenance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Change of Occupancy Maintenance includes the performance of maintenance, repair/replacement, and other work required to make vacant housing quarters ready for the next occupant. This work is performed as needed to support the movement of occupants in and out of military family housing. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition; therefore the solicitation will be issued under FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). This acquisition is 100% 8a set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561210 and the size standard is $6.0M. Once available, the solicitation must be downloaded from www.eps.gov, as no paper copies will be issued. All information required for submission of an offer will be identified in the solicitation. A site visit will be conducted at a date and time to be determined in the solicitation. The government contemplates award on or about 1 Aug 03, with a performance start date of 1 Oct 03. The resultant award will be made on an all-or-none basis to include a basic period and four annual option periods. This notice serves as preliminary information and does not obligate the government to award a contract, restrict the government in its ultimate acquisition approach, or obligate the government to pay for proposal costs.
