Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and is current to Fac 2001-12 and DCN 20030301. The solicitation number is MDA410-03-Q -0073 and is available through download from this website (FedBizOps). This action will be processed using simplified acquisition procedures and is 100% set-aside for Small business. The FSC code is B542 - Study/Educational. The NAICS code is 611710 - Educational Support Services. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) requires a study of the alignment of three currently used math assessments to their math standards: the TerraNova Multiple Assessments, 2nd Edition (TerraNova) (CTB/McGraw-Hill), the Balanced Assessment in Mathematics (BAM) (CTB/McGraw-Hill) and the Algebra I End of Course (EoC) Assessment (Educational Testing Service).. The main focus of the study is to answer the research question: "To what extent are the DoDEA math standards assessed by the three DoDEA-adopted mathematics assessments?" The study will rate the assessments' depth and breadth of coverage of each of the DoDEA math standards at grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 as well as the DoDEA Algebra I standards. The study will also determine what, if any, gaps exist between the assessments and the standards. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, methodology, computer analyses and resources to conduct a study of the alignment between the DoDEA math assessments and the DoDEA math content and performance standards and report the results of this study. Response to this RFQ shall be received not later than 11:00 AM EST, 11 Apr 03 and include 1. The Quote, study proposal and Representations and Certifications. 2. The name, addresses and phone number of the Contractor's point of contact for the quote submission. 3. The Contractor's DUNs, TIN, and CAGE code, if available.
