Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor is to provide all materials, labor, coordination; equipment and expertise necessary to complete the following work at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Fort DIX, New Jersey: 1) extend existing potable water distribution system; 2) provide multiplex fire alarm system; 3) provide monitoring of boiler contacts and carbon monoxide detector at selected locations; 4) remove and replace selected panel and zoned devices; 5) remove and replace selected fire alarm panels, initiating and signaling devices. The performance period will be 730 calendar days from date of award. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 36.204 the magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project is 100% set-aside for small business. Security investigation / clearances are required. The solicitation will be available on or after May 21, 2003, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The NAICS code for this requirement is 23599 (formally SIC Code Number 1799). All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award.
