Description

NA The item to be procured is the Post Deflector, Sub-Assembly, NSN: 4240-01-268-0392, P/N: 5-1-1050-20, for use on the M40/M42 Series Protective Masks. For the Post Deflector Sub-Assembly, the overall length is .210 inches; the overall width is .200 inches; and the overall thickness is .050 inches. The Post is made out of aluminum and the Deflector is made out of Polyethylene Plastic. This item is also placed between stiffeners and secured with tape. Proposed 5-year requirements contract is 100% small bu siness set-aside. Total estimated quantity over five years is 49,000 each. FOB is Destination. Estimated ordering periods will be from award date through 31 Dec 07. Estimated solicitation issue date is 14 April 03. This solicitation shall be issued el ectronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wanting an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following internet address: http://aais.ria.a rmy.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation shall be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation to maintain and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upo n any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
