- NOTE: This synopsis replaces the previously posted Synopsis for Business Operations and Technical Services which had the wrong solicitation number. The correct solicitation number is RFP2-38209 (RRG). Please update your email notification if you are registered for this solicitation only. NASA-Ames Research Center (ARC)plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide a variety of professional and para-professional functions to various divisions at NASA-ARC, Moffett Field, California. The key technical requirements include support to the following functions: (1)scientific and technical information, including video, photo, publications, printing and library services; (2)human resource management and training; (3)acquisitions; (4) equal opportunity and affirmative action; (5) commercial technology; (6) public affairs and education outreach; (7) legal office; and (8) related administrative programs. No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. When the solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation. PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE: A pre-solicitation conference was held on Thursday, November 21, 2002. The conference slides, attendance list, and questions and answers are attached to this synopsis. The provisions and clauses in the RFP will be those in effect at time of posting (currently through FAC 01-12). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $6.0M, respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9 . The Draft Acquisition Plan (DAP) along with the draft Statement of Work (SOW) will remain posted under the incorrect solicitation number (RFP2-32809 (JSB)) until solicitation RFP2-38209 (RRG) is posted in April/May 2003 timeframe. When requested, all qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/ARC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=21 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
