Description
NA This notice is released to announce a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District requirement for a professional diving services contract. The work to be performed under this contract will be in support of navigation, flood control, environmental p rojects, and other Corps of Engineers related missions. It will also include diving services and equipment to investigate, survey and/or remove designated obstructions and sunken vessels in all navigable waterways of the New Orleans District. The propose d contract will be an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract to be competed under solicitation DACW29-03-R0023. The basic contract is estimated to commence on or around 1 June 2003 through 31 May 2004 with four one-year option performance period s. This action is set aside 100% for small business concerns under NAICS code 561990 and size standard of $5M. DACW29-03-R0023 and other information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportu nities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. A compact disk will be prepared for the convenience of those small business unable to download the information from the Internet; however, it is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download from t he fedbiz website or request an electronic copy of the data by contacting Gregory Arnold via fax at (504) 862-2892 or e-mail at Gregory.P.Arnold@mvn02.usace.army.mil. Any communications must identify the RFP number, DACW29-03-R00023, company name, point o f contact, address, phone number including area code and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. The basis of award is technically acceptable, past performance price trade-off. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about 4 Apr 2003 with a closing date estimated on or about 7 May 2003. NOTE: Offeror must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Numbered note 1 applies.
