Description

INVITATION FOR BIDS: ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUP: BAKER BEACH DISTURBED AREAS 3 & 4, Presidio of San Francisco, California Solicitation No. IFB-2003-012 The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, plans to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors to remove landfills at Baker Beach Disturbed Areas 3 & 4 located at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of Work includes: (a) mobilize equipment and provide site fencing; (b) excavate and profile waste for disposal; (c) haul waste to licensed landfill(s); (d) contour site as needed to provide natural topography; (e) install erosion control measures; and (f) provide & install irrigation systems for native plants. Estimated start date October 2003. The Trust anticipates awarding one firm fixed unit price contract. Estimated Project Cost: under $5 million. Minimum qualifications include: California General Engineering Contractor?s License Class A with Hazardous Substance Removal and Remedial Actions Certification, Certificate of Insurance, and Bonding Capacity. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. IFB available approx. late June 2003 with sealed bids due and public bid opening approx. late July 2003. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Qualified small businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses, minority- and women-owned small businesses) are encouraged to respond. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR COMPETITION AMONG SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS QUALIFIED UNDER THE CRITERIA AND SIZE STANDARDS IN 13 CFR 121 FOR NAICS CODE 562910 (Environmental Remediation Services). The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
