Description

Title: Evaporator controller and salinity cell system upgrade and repair Carry out the following work aboard USNS Mercy. 1.Provide labor and materials to design a replacement for the evaporator control systems and salinity indicating cells on each of four evaporators found aboard USNS Mercy. 2.On approval of the design by MSCREP, provide labor and materials to install the new control system on one of four evaporators. 3.Prove proper operation of the new evaporator control system to the satisfaction of the MSCREP and 1st Engineer. 4.After successful operation of one evaporator with the new control system, provide labor and materials to upgrade the other three evaporators to the same design. Prove proper operation of the new control system on each of the other three evaporators to the satisfaction of the MSCREP. 5.Provide a list of recommended spare parts and quantities including pricing information. MSC will purchase spare parts under a separate contract. 6.Provide two copies of any new technical manuals, drawings, and red line any applicable existing ship?s drawings to reflect the change in control systems. 7.Provide labor and technical assistance to insure all four evaporators are tested to the satisfaction of the 1st Engineer and Port Engineer. All work to be to in accordance with common marine practice and compliant with current ABS and USCG regulations. 2.Required Delivery Schedule: Work to be completed by 30 April 2003.
