- Description
- This is a requirements type indefinite delivery contract to provide technical assistance and oversight to Government personnel performing scheduled Maintenance and Repair Services for Low Pressure Air Compressors at Building 149, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, (PHNS), Controlled Industrial Area (CIA), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all technical expertise and oversight, special tools and equipment, parts/components, materials, transportation, and supervisory and administrative services to perform the requirements of this contract. Maintenance and Repair Services include overhaul of the compressors, high/low pressure element(s)/main bearing/oil pump housing replacements, and other unforeseen repairs. Replaced or repaired parts/components shall be new or factory reconditioned and compatible with the existing equipment; shall meet or exceed the original equipment manufacturer?s (OEM) specifications and performance standards; and follow the original design and manufacturer's intent. If the OEM has updated the specifications or standards of parts for current production, the parts supplied under this contract shall equal or exceed the updated specifications or standards. Items not listed in the technical specifications shall meet or exceed industrial standards for the part/component being replaced or repaired. The Contractor will be reimbursed for parts/components not listed in the technical specifications, which are supplied under this contract, at the prices specified in the manufacturer?s list price plus shipping. The Contractor shall not add overhead or profit to the manufacturer?s list price. The Contractor shall be responsible for the cost of shipping parts that do not meet the specifications and standards, and parts that have been shipped in error back to the manufacturer. The Contractor and contractor?s field representative on-site shall have a minimum of 10 years total time experience in the repair and maintenance of the Atlas Copco Model ZR-7D unit. This experience shall be in preventive maintenance overhaul, high and low pressure element replacement, air compressor main bearing replacement, and air compressor oil pump replacement. The Offeror must provide evidence that they are a certified/authorized Atlas Copco service/maintenance representative for the Model ZR-7D compressor. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised.
