Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, transportation and disposal necessary to replace the perimeter fence at USCG Station Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, ME (Lincoln County). Work includes, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 850 linear feet of 7-foot high fence, a 20 foot-wide cantilever sliding gate, and three pedestrian gates and all incidental related work. The gate installation includes a new sliding gate operator, a telephone entry system, a vehicle sensor loop on the inner side of the gate, and all necessary electrical and communications work to operate the gate. All work will be accomplished in accordance with contract clauses, specification, drawings, and applicable wage rates as incorporated herein with two Bid Option items. Bid Option #1 ? requires installation of ornamental fence in lieu of chain link fence between post B and post C as indicated, and installation of ornamental sliding gate and pedestrian gate at the main entrance in lieu of the chain link sliding gate and pedestrian gate as indicated. The ornamental fence with Option #1 has tubular steel pickets. Bid Option #2 ? requires use of solid steel pickets in the ornamental fence. Pickets shall meet the necessary requirements. The period of performance is 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 dollars. NAICS code is 238990. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 4/24/03. Proposals are due: 5/27/2003. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 19, and is 100% set-aside for small business. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted solely on this web site. Bidders are required to verify the number of amendments issued with the Contracting Officer prior to the bid opening date.
