- Description
- This Special Notice is notification of the Agency intent to extend contracts DECA02-97-D-0021 for a period of six (6) months beginning May 1, 2003 through October 31, 2003, to the incumbent contractor - Military Deli and Bakery Services, 2037 Mount Vernon, Ponoma, CA 91768. A competitive contract was originally awarded in August 1997 for in-store deli-bakery services to commissaries located in Alaska and Hawaii (AK - Anchorage Area, Eielson AFB & Fort Wainwright; HI - Hickam AFB, Kaneohe Bay MCBH, Pearl Harbor NB, and Schofield Barracks). The extension is performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is a Firm-fixed Price with a percentage of patron savings. The extension will provide uninterrupted services of the delicatessen and bakery resale operations at the stores indicated above pending the award of the new contract. This action is accomplished under the under the authority cited 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency requirements. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this extension period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be extended without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
