- Description
- The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Security (SO), has a requirement for specialized technical, administrative and security support. A five-year contract with a one-year base and four one-year option periods is contemplated. The estimated Direct Productive Labor Hours (DPLH) are anticipated to be 28,040 for the base period and 28,040 for each option period. This acquisition will be a 100% set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541611 and the small business size is $6.0 Million. "See Note No. 1" The solicitation will be issued electronically via the Department's Industry Interactive Procurement system (IIPS), around May 9, 2003. No paper copies of the solicitation will be made available. Interested parties should immediately select both the register and subscribe options on IIPS from the "DOE e-Center" page located at address http://www.pr.doe.gov/ in order to have access to the resultant solicitation and to be able to submit an electronic proposal (select navigation button titled "Register"). Prior to submission of any proposal, potential offerors are advised that it is also their responsibility to verify any change in the requirements or closing date. It is recommended that first time users review "IIPS Frequently Asked Questions" and the "IIPS User's Guide" located on the "DOE e-Center" http://www.pr.doe.gov/ (select navigation button titled "Help"). Based on the above, the next exchange of information will be via issuance of the above referenced solicitation. No additional exchanges, pre-proposal conferences, or meetings between the Program Office or the Procurement Office will be entertained. The solicitation cover letter will include provisions for a written question and answer period that can be utilized by all interested parties to improve their understanding of the Government's requirement in order to increase the efficiency in proposal preparation.
