- [The following is a revised synopsis. It includes a new NAVSEA Point of Contact and a revised anticipated issue date for the RFP.] The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-03-R-4022 for procurement of advanced planning for and accomplishment of Planned Incremental Availabilities (PIAs) and Drydocking Planned Incremental Availabilities (DPIAs) for repair, modernization and upkeep of CVN 68 Class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers homeported in the Puget Sound, Washington area. Performance of this effort will be accomplished at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Station Bremerton and Naval Station Everett. Offerors interested in obtaining a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) should do so by sending a request via electronic mail to Ms. Makara Howard, NAVSEA 02441M. Ms. Howards' e-mail address is HowardMK@navsea.navy.mil. Potential prime contractors are encouraged to submit letters of interest in order to be added to the list of potential bidders in the event any data not available electronically can be provided otherwise. The anticipated issue date for the RFP is on or about 16 May 2003. The solicitation will be posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce On-Line (NECO) web site (http://www.neco.navy.mil) on or about 16 May 2003. The subject solicitation package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about 30 July 2003.
