- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for plastic skids for Nex-Gen. (1. base skid tray must hold 900 pounds and the plastic skid must weight less then 12 pounds, Quantity: 200 ea, (2. tooling for base skid, Quantity: 1 ea, (3. Middle skid tray/edges must be supported capacity of 250 pounds and plastic skid tray must weight less then 12 pounds. Quantity: 600 ea, (4. Tooling for middle skid tray, Quantity: 1 ea. Skid tray shall be made out of plastic or equivalent, all edges shall be smooth and deburred, must be durable (able to be dropped from 4 feet with no damage), weight for each skid tray not to exceed 12 pounds, skid tray#1 drawing shall have a working capacity of 900 pounds, skid tray#2 in drawing shall have a working capacity of 250 pounds, when supported by the edges (1 inch skid tray#1 and tray#2 shall have a maximum deflection of .125 inch, when loaded with 250 pounds. ALL RESPONSES VENDOR HAS TO REQUEST THE SPECIFICATION AND DRAWING PLEASE CALL FOR COPY 202-874-2318. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. This acquisition is unrestricted with regard to business size. The applicable North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code 326199, with a small business size standard is 500 employees. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-03-0321. Delivery shall be made within 30 days after receipt of purchase order. Deliver terms are F.O.B. Destination to Bureau of Engraving & Printing, 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth TX 76131. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be price. All interested small business is requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF1449, SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS numbers, size status (that is, small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If this item is available under GSA Schedule, please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due by 2:30 P.M. on April 22, 2003.
