Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, N.J. intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Request for Proposals for a large size infrared/convection oven. It shall be a batch-style, propane gas powered, gas catalytic oven designed for curing the powder paint on products recently coated. The oven shall accommodate products being conveyed into and out of the oven either on carts or via an overhead monorail system, depending upon the product size. The design shall accommodate an operating temperature range of 130 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and shall be capable of being operated in infrared mode or convection mode or both modes simultaneously. The oven shall have bi-folding doors at each end and a material handling slot to accommodate a government supplied hoist chain running through the slot the entire length of the oven. Approximate exterior dimensions of the oven are 18? wide x 20? high x 34? deep. Oven shall operate on 460 V, 60 Hz, 3 phase, 150 amp power. Propane gas requirements shall not exceed 5.4 million BTU/h. In addition to other relevant codes, the ovens shall be in conformance with National Fire Protection Association Bulletin #86 for Class ?A? ovens. Installation, start-up, training, and submission of logistical support data will also be required as part of the contract. The destination for this unit is NAVAIRSEFAC, Solomons, MD. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying ?commercial items? as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
