Description

The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, Cotton Textile Chemistry Research Unit, New Orleans, Louisiana a requirement for a Differntial Scanning Calorimeter and a Thermogravimetric Analyzer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. IFB 2003-4431-006 is being issued as an Request for Quotation. The NAICS is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide quotation for the following Perkin Elmer catalog items or equal (1) #N5360005, 1 ea. - Diamond Differential Scanning Calorimeter including Diamond DSC CryoFill, Liquid Nirtogen Cooling System, Pyris TA Manager Software, Specific Heat Software, Spares Kit, Gas Dryer Kit that is controlled from an industry-standard PC running on Microsoft Windows 2000, allow for fast heating and cooling up to 500?C/min., allow for automatic unattended operation over the temperature range of -170?C to 300?C, heat exchanger to allow circulation of cold liquids and to operate to higher temperatures in the 0?C to 730?C range using cold liquid nitrogen supplied at -25?C or higher, Perkin Elmer?s PyrisSoftware necessary for instrument control, data acquisition, and routing data analysis of up to 8 thermal analyzers of any type from a single PC controller. (8) #N5370742 - 1 ea. - KIT_PYRIS 1 Thermogravimeter Analyzer LAB SYS 23 that includes Pyris 1 TGA , standard furnace operates from ambient to 1000?C, low mass internal furnace permits heating rates from 0.1? to 200?C/, Maximum sensitivity of 0.1ug with a balance accuracy of better than 0.1%, sample capacity up to 50 ?L, may operate in a static or a dynamic atmosphere including but not limited to oxygen, air, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide or other inert gases, analysis may be made at normal or reduced pressure. Delivery of the equipment shall be made within 60 days after receipt of the contract order and will be delivered to USDA, ARS, Cotton Textile Chemistry Research Unit, New Orleans, Louisiana 70179.
