Reference solicitation #MDA906-03-R-0002, Amendment 0001 to the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) solicitation is issued and may be downloaded at: http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations/retail This amendment provides several administrative changes to the RFP including clarification of the requirements relating to the TRICARE Pharmacy information card, claims processing, customer service, and minimum requirements related to pharmacy network access. Terminology and definitions have been clarified. These changes resulted from questions provided by industry in response to the RFP, and as a result of questions asked during the pre-proposal conference held on April 2-3, 2003. The TRRx contractor will provide pharmacy benefit management services supporting the delivery of the TRRx comprehensive retail pharmacy services benefits to approximately 8.7 million TRICARE and Continued Health Care Benefit Program beneficiaries living in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. This contract is one of three venues through which pharmacy services are provided, including direct care facilities, and the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy. As a result of this amendment, there is no change in the hour or date of receipt of proposals. Questions regarding the amendment must be submitted using the "E-Mail Questions to the Contracting Officer"option on the TRICARE website, and will be accepted until close of business, April 25, 2003. Interested parties who have not previously registered may do so at the TRRx Solicitation web site above.
