INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT GLOBAL COMBAT SUPPORT SYSTEM-AIR FORCE (GCSS-AF) This is an Industry Day announcement for the GCSS-AF System Program Office located at Hanscom AFB, MA. The GCSS-AF contract was awarded in Aug 1996 to Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego (LMSI-O), Owego, NY. As the Prime contractor, LMSI-O is the developer and integrator for GCSS-AF Integration Framework. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide Industry with an update on the GCSS-AF strategy, status of technology and operations, overview of the process for selecting technologies, and forecast potential technologies GCSS-AF may exploit over the next 18 months. The GCSS-AF Team expects feedback from Industry on its approach and guidance on technologies it should pursue. The Industry Day will be held at ESC/DIS, Hanscom AFB, MA on 12 May 2003, in the Hanscom Conference Center, Lexington Amphitheater-Lexington Conference Room, Bldg. 1106 located on Grenier Street, 8:00 a.m. EST. Seating is limited; therefore, participation is limited to 4 attendees per company (including subcontractors). The session will include briefings by the GCSS-AF Program Manager and technical lead followed by questions and answers. A written copy of all questions and answers will be posted on the ESC Bulletin Board within 30 days following the Industry Day. HANSCOM AFB VISITOR ACCESS PROCEDURES AND INFORMATION To secure registration and access to Hanscom AFB, Industry Day attendees MUST provide the following information to Mr. Ted Haberlein (theodor.haberlein@hanscom.af.mil) by COB Friday, May 10, 2003:  Company Name(s)  Company Address(es)  Company POC(s)  Name(s), Telephone Number(s), and E-mail Address(es) of Participants Directions to the facility and parking instructions will be provided upon registration. Entry onto Hanscom AFB will only be permitted through the Vandenberg Gate, located off the airport access road that intersects with Route 2A. Additionally, all visitors must be prepared to show picture identification to proceed beyond the gate. All participants are encouraged to arrive at the gates early due to Air Force security measures. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. Participation in the GCSS-AF Industry Day is voluntary. The conduct of the GCSS-AF Industry Day and/or the information presented herein will not obligate the Government in any manner. The Government will not reimburse the Industry Day attendees for any costs associated with participation and is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. This invitation to participate in the GCSS-AF Industry Day does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal. Any procurement action for GCSS-AF Program will be the subject of a separate, future announcement.
