Description
NA The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract for Enhanced Area Air Defense System (EAADS) Short Range Integrated Kinetic Energy (E-STRIKE) System. The purpose of this effort is to acquire engine ering services to evaluate and analyze advance radar, interceptor, directed energy, and battle management, command, control, communication, computer, and intelligence (BMC4I) technologies to determine the best system concept design and integration to suppo rt the EAADS and Future Combat System (FCS) requirements for a lightweight, track on the move and mobile radar with high angle and relative accuracy. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-3(a)(ii), which allows the Department o f Defense (DoD) to use noncompetitive procedures in order to establish or maintain an essential engineering, research, and/or development capability to be provided by an educational or other nonprofit institution, this action is to be performed by Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the government. This acquisition is not open to allied participation. All respons es should be directed to Dianne Trimble, SMDC-CM-CN, dianne.trimble@smdc.army.mil and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to t his notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
