Description

This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Los Gatos Research, Inc. Mountain View, CA on a Sole Source basis to purchase a Multiple Wavelength Off-Axis ICOS System operating near 1494 nm, 1500 nm, 1506 nm, 1512 nm and 1515 nm. This is an optical multipass absorption system capable of detecting singlet oxygen at concentrations of 10 to the 14th power molecules per cm3 per quantum state at a signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 10 with 10 seconds of averaging. This system must possess (a) temperature tunable (5-50 degrees C), (b) single longitudinal mode operation, (c) rapid wavelength tuning and (d)greater than 10mW power. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of the unique features and proprietary nature of the system. No formal request will be issued for this procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. Los Gatos Research is a small business and FAR Part 12 applies. All interested parties must be a small business.
