Description
National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Site Office (NNSA/NSO) will host a Pre-Submittal of Statements of Capability Conference and Small Business Mentoring/Teaming Workshop at its North Las Vegas, Nevada facility on February 19, 2003. The purpose of this conference and workshop is to provide a forum for Small Businesses to discuss the complexities of the requirements associated with the upcoming Security Protective Force Services solicitation, answer written questions, and provide interested Small Business, an opportunity to network with other businesses, both large and small, as potential Team Members. Therefore, not only are Small Businesses encouraged to attend but also Large Businesses who are interested in entering into teaming arrangements. Shortly after the conference and workshop, NNSA/NSO will release a second request for statements of capabilities from Small Business entities and teams that qualify as small businesses through a sources sought synopsis. This second request for statements of capabilities is necessary to ensure that NNSA/NSO receives sufficient information to evaluate capabilities and to determine how many small businesses and small business teams have the capability to manage the critical security protective force missions at the Nevada Test Site. A draft of the proposed Scope of Work for the upcoming security protective force services has been attached to this announcement for your review. Questions/comments on the requirements desired to be discussed at the conference/workshop, must be submitted in writing, no later than Thursday, February 13, 2003. The conference will start promptly at 9:00 am, February 19, 2003, at the NNSA/NSO North Las Vegas Facility, Building C-1 Auditorium, Room 6339, located at 232 Energy Way, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. It is expected that the conference/workshop will conclude no later than 4:00 pm. Attendance is limited to a maximum of three representatives from each firm and pre-registration is mandatory. Building C-1 is a limited access facility and only U.S. citizens will be allowed to attend this conference/workshop. To register, each attendee must complete the attached form NV-205, ?Information Required from Uncleared U.S. Citizens for Issuance of a DOE/NV Security Badge.? This information will be provided to the entry guard station at Energy Way for access to the North Las Vegas facility. All attendees are requested to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the conference to receive Security Badges for entry into Building C-1. All attendees should be prepared to have their vehicles searched prior to being granted access to the facility. Individuals who do not pre-register will be denied access to the facility. Completed form NV-205 and written questions/comments must be submitted by e-mail to Wanda Gay, Contract Specialist at gay@nv.doe.gov or fax to 702-657-7590 no later than Thursday, February 13, 2003. It should be noted that firearms, explosives, or other dangerous devices; controlled substances (except prescription medicine); alcoholic beverages; recording devices; cameras and other items prohibited by law are not to be carried, transported, or otherwise introduced into this NNSA/NSO facility. Cell phones and pagers are permitted but must be powered off while inside the conference/workshop meeting area.
