- Description
- The U.S. Department of the Interior has a need for contractor services to address a backlog of Indian Probate case preparation duties= at Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) agency locations nationwide (approximat= ely 90). The current project scope is to eliminate the backlog of probate files where more than 120 days have elapsed since official verification= of death. This research activity is the first component of various steps involved in the successful adjudication and timely distribution of Indi= an Probate trust assets with high efficiency rate and zero maximum error r= ate requirements. The government will look to contractor innovations to propose solutions to the need based upon industry standards of accuracy= , speed, and cost. It is proposed that the government will provide its regulation-required Form OHA-7, in an electronic format, to the contrac= tor to fill out with as much information gained and to then return to the government for final compilation. Contractor services can be performed= at any geographic location and in any legal manner of its choosing. Principal Purpose: To perform research and provide BIA staff with accur= ate personal data and official records concerning Native American decedents= and their estates.
