- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The solicitation number is for F34601-03-Q-50143. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM on 16 May 2003. Source(s) is/are (Cage 70210) Honeywell International Inc, 2525 W 190th Street, Torrance CA., 90504-6002; P/N: 160064-1-1; ( Cage 99207) General Electric, 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn MA 01910; P/N: 4048T39P01. This is a requirement for Line Item 0001. NSN: 2935-01-048-1927OP. Noun: Cooler, Lubricating. Application: TF34, 100A Engine. SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Width 3,790 inches nominal, Diameter 2,900 inches nominal, length 8,750 inches nominal. Predominant material or manufacturing and/or manufacturing process: Aluminum Alloy. Transportation provisions and clauses: F.O.B. Origin. Marking for Shipments, 47-305-10. Packaging Requirements: Commercial, QUP #001, MIL-STD-2073-1: Pres (X), Pack (B). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. Qty: 48 ea; Honeywell, P/N: 160064-1-1 & General Electric; 4048T39P01; Government and Commercial surplus are acceptable, IAW FAR provisions: E-415, E-420C, E-425, and E-423. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Items shall be inspected by contractor for conformance to 100% of dimensions of drawing at the contractor?s facility and witnessed by a government quality representative (QAR). Parts that are new/unused government, commercial surplus showing no sign of rust, corrosion or evidence of deterioration from age, improper packing or evidence of disassembly or reconditioning in any manner are acceptable. Justification for unacceptable surplus material: Failure of this item can cause unsafe and unreliable Engine Operation. The effects of reconditioning, modifying, and wear on this part cannot adequately be determined. Therefore, new/unused parts are the only acceptable surplus category. This part is a source controlled drawing to General Electric. Only those sources listed on this drawing or those pre-approved by the cognizant engineering office can be considered as sources for this part. Place of delivery and acceptance is: Tinker AFB OK (FB2039). Required delivery schedules are as follows: 12 ea for April 2004, 12 ea for May 2004, 12 ea for June 2004, 12 ea for July 2004. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award.
