- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service invites bids on a contract for the construction of the Rhode Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex facility in Charlestown, Rhode Island. The work consists of construction of a two story, wood framed structure on concrete foundations. The first floor area is approximately 9,325 square feet, and the second floor at 5,070 giving a total area of approximately 14,395 square feet. This administrative and educational building will utilize ground water as heat sink for modular heat pump HVAC system. Primary exterior finishes are asphalt shingle and standing seam metal roofing. Siding will be board and batten, stone veneer, and treated western red cedar shingles. The work will also include some site work: grading at the building, wearing course of pavement only on paved entry roads and parking areas, sidewalks and exterior lighting fixtures, landscaping, and utility connections. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000. and $3,000,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220 (SIC code is 1542). The size standard is $28.5 million. This is an unrestricted procurement. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. Issue date will be o/a May 14, 2003.
