USTC is looking for vendors who are willing to demonstrate at no cost to the government their commercial capability in providing SANs including all required components (i.e., switches, fiber channel (FC) to internet protocol (IP) converters) for primary and alternate sites with the following capabilities: Capacity - 2 to 4 terabytes scalable to 20 terabytes, Interoperability - must be interoperable with WINTEL, Solaris, UNIX, Oracle V 8i and 9i, MS Windows (NT, 2000, XP, 2003) and MS Exchange. Security - including port locking, worldwide name (WWN) and LUN zoning, provide secure SAN management via roles based access, provide secure switching controls protocols including SSH, SFTP and SNMPV3. Additional capabilities include - provide both synchronous and asynchronous copy or combination thereof, provide point in time copy, provide FC to IP conversion capability, provide replication to geographic failover site with distance up to 35 miles, provide RAID protection, provide secure remote network management and diagnostics, provide capability to utilize/incorporate existing EMC CLARION 4700. Interested contractors are requested to provide their commercial capability statements, a general description of their technical approach, and their estimated cost to the Contracting Officer, AMC CONF/LGCFC. Contractors responding to this request for information may be requested to provide at no cost to the Government, a demonstration of their system capabilities at their facility during the May 2003 timeframe.
