Project No. A-03-179 NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(a)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. This is an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity type contract of an annually requiring requirement to provide interior/exterior painting and repair roofs at various locations at Camp Zama, Sagamihara Family Housing Area, Sagami General Depot, Yokohama North Dock and Akasaka Press Center, Japan. Lead-based paint abatement, Asbestos (Non-Friable Asbestos Contained Materials) Abatement Work, minor work such as replacement of deteriorated siding, trim, eaves, the temporary work, erection/removal of fabricated scaffolding, safety nets are also included in the items of description. Performance Period: 365 calendar days with two (2) option periods. Site orientation is scheduled for 23 May 03, 1030 hours. Participants will meet at Parade Field, Camp Zama, Kanagawa-ken, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in this scheduled tour. Place of performance: Camp Zama, Sagamihara Family Housing Area, Sagami General Depot, Yokohama North Dock and Akasaka Press Center, Japan.
