- FED BIZ OPPS See numbered notes 1, 9, and 26. This is a total small business set-aside. DESC: 8460-00-212-8086. ITEM: Chest, Collapsible, Steel. Specification: MIL-C-81808 (AS) dated 12/21/70. Destinations: W25G1U ? New Cumberland, PA and W62G2T ? San Joaquin, CA. Quantities: Base Year ? (48,704 min ? 62176 max), Option 1 (29,928 min ? 40,384 max), and Option 2 (29,928 min ? 40,384 max). Unit of issue is each. Eight deliveries will be required beginning 140 days after date of award. This will be a best value procurement with the following evaluation factors listed in order of importance: 1) Experience/Past Performance, and 2) DLA Mentoring Business Agreement. All materials are to be furnished by the successful offeror. This requirement is a military unique item. There is no commercial item available which will satisfy the Government?s needs. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil AFTER June 6, 2003. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
