Description
Services will be non-personal: contractor to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide operation, setup, and firing of pyrotechnic display for 366th Fighter Wing Air Show. Cost estimate to include fees, perdiem, lodging, and rental cars. Period of performance is 10-15 Sept 03. (a) Wednesday, 10 SEPTEMBER, arrive MOUNTAIN HOME AFB and commence operations. (b) Saturday:(1) Two (2) ?Regular Bombs? with fire and explosion. (2) Three (3) ?Double Fuel Double Bombs? with large fire and explosion. (3) One (1)-650ft long ?Hot Strafe? with large fire and explosion. (4) One (1)-1000ft long ?Wall of Fire? with very large fire and explosion. (c) Sunday: Repeat of Saturday?s events (a) EXPERIENCED PYROTECHNIC PERFORMERS and OPERATORS. Will have Federal and/or State licenses, as required. (b) ON-SITE COORDINATION between local authorities ? fire marshal, safety personnel, FAA, airport manager, emergency response crews, airshow personnel, and contractor. (c) FINAL SITE APPROVAL: Taking into consideration spectator areas, runway safety zones, aircraft parking areas, buildings, airport equipment, estimated fire hazard, prevailing winds and forecast weather conditions. (d) PROCUREMENT and DELIVERY of pyrotechnic supplies: Fuses Detonators, Explosives, etc., EXCEPT Fuel. (e) ATTENDING PILOT BRIEF: A representative will attend the daily pilot briefing on days when pyrotechnic is performing to answer last-minute questions and brief all concerned persons regarding pyrotechnic operations. (f) OPERATION, SETUP and FIRING of pyrotechnic display: Safe, sane and legal operation of the pyrotechnic display; will have final authority for firing of pyrotechnic effects, taking into consideration current conditions, and fire equipment being ready and ?in-place? as agreed upon. (g) SAFETY CHECKS of pyrotechnic area after each day?s show. After satisfactory safety checks, an ?All Clear? or ?Field is Cold? will be given to Air Boss or other person, as requested. IMPORTANT: Allow at least 45 minutes AFTER last pyro shot before giving field to Blue Angels or Thunderbirds. (h) DISARMING/DISPOSAL of any ?duds? after each day?s show. (i) CLEAN-UP of pyrotechnic area after last show.
