- NA The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, engineering, labor, materials, plant, and equipment to perform the following work in strict accordance with the detailed requirements of the solicitation: BASIC REQUIREMENTS (1) Design, manufacture, shop test, prepare and load for shipment, deliver f.o.b. destination, and unload three new complete sets of stator coils and all accessories specified herein. Furnish three generator thrust bearing high pressure lift pump systems including design and materials/assemblies. Two sets are for Detroit and one set is for Big Cliff. (2) Furnish and deliver thrust bearing oil coolers complete with all valves, fittings, meters, gauges, piping, and related accessories. (3) Furnish and deliver generator air coolers complete with all valves, fittings, meters, gauges, piping, and related accessories. (4) Furnish and deliver guide bearing coolers complete with brackets, fittings, piping and related accessories. OPTIONAL WORK TO BE PERFORMED (1) Optional Installation At Big Cliff. (a) Disassemble and Reassemble the Generator. Mobilize and demobilize, perform the necessary pre-alignment readings, disassemble the generator to gain access to the stator, reassemble and align the unit. (b) Additional Mechanical Work ?????? Optional Items. Inspect, repair, and/or refurbish the bearings and other disassembled components, provide a new turbine shaft sleeve, perform extensive inspection and testing of the generator thrust bearing. (c) Stator Winding Installation and Test. Remove the old coils from the stator, clean and test the stator core, prepare the stator for rewinding, install and test the new stator winding and accessories specified herein, clean and test the rotor, and reas semble the generator. Install and test the generator thrust bearing high pressure lift pump system assemblies. (d) Generator Rotor. Clean, inspect, test, and paint the generator rotor. (e) Thrust Bearing Oil Coolers. Install thrust bearing oil coolers complete with all valves, fittings, meters, gauges, piping, and related accessories. (f) Generator Air Coolers. Install generator air coolers complete with all valves, fittings, meters, gauges, piping, and related accessories. (g) Guide Bearing Coolers. The solicitation will be issued on CD-ROM on or about 20 June 2003 and the proposal due date is on or abou t 22 July 2003. A site visit is scheduled on or about 2 July 2003. Due to security precautions, the Contractor shall notify the Government in writing if foreign nationals plan to attend the scheduled site visit. The written notification shall be provide d to the attention of Ms. Hubbard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CENWP-CT-S, PO Box 2946, Portland, OR 97208. This solicitation is open to both large and small business concerns. The small business size standard for this solicitation is 1,000 employees.
