PRIME CONTRACTORS PROPOSING UNDER THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE U.S. FIRMS, ECUADORIAN FIRMS, OR JOINT VENTURES BETWEEN U.S., ECUADORIAN, OR U.S./ECUADORIAN FIRMS. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BEST VALUE, ONE-STEP SOLICITATION. The scope of work consists of designing and constructing under a design/build scenario a Counter Drug Interdiction Base at San Lorenzo, Ecuador. The project consists of a headquarters administration facility, barracks, officer's quarters, laundry facility , guard towers, guard shack, dog kennel, concrete helipad, generator building, roadway, parking lot, and associated utilities and site work. Estimated cost of the Project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contracting Officer for this project is Mr. Gene Curtis. Bid documents should be available by approximately 24 June 2003. Note No. 1: Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must register for plans and specifications in order to download a copy of the solicitation and be placed on the plan holder's list. If you are not registered, the United States government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet in order to be able to download the ele ctronic files. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM.
