- In preparation for the initiation of the AN/WSQ-11 Torpedo Defense Program, the Naval Sea Systems Command intends to host a second industry day, establish a technical library and post a revised draft RFP. Industry day will be held on 15 July 2003 from 0900 ? 1600 EDT at EG&G, 300 M Street, SE, Room #467, Washington DC. Attendance will be limited to no more than two individuals per company or organization. Because of space limitations, additional restrictions on the number of attendees may be imposed. Briefings will be held at the SECRET level. Only those with a validated security clearance will be authorized attendance. Parties interested in attending must notify the PCO no later than 11 July 2003 (via email) by providing a visit request and security clearance to the Contracting Officer (email: leemg@navsea.navy.mil or Fax: 202-781-4773) with a copy to the following address : EG&G, Attn; Mary Ann Hohman, POC: Kelly Davis, 2341 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202, Fax number: 703-418-3841. Requests received after 11 July 2003 will not be accepted. NAVSEA intends to establish a Technical Library for the AN/WSQ-11 program. Authorized entities will be provided access to a dedicated web site to view program and related technical documentation. The data is being provided for informational purposes only to enhance industry?s understanding of the program. Documents to be made available contain distribution restrictions. Access will only be provided to those entities that request access and provide evidence that they are current U.S. Dept. of Defense contractors. Entities must request specific access for individuals by providing names, positions, telephone numbers, email addresses, an active DoD contract number, and a Government point of conta ct (COR or PCO) (name and email address) who can validate the status of the contract. Once approved, those requesting access will be notified of the web site address and the procedures for obtaining a user name and password. Use of and access to the site will be governed by the rules and procedures established by the site manager. Those who had access to AN/WSQ-11 data as a result of the first industry day MUST request access again. NAVSEA intends to release a revised DRAFT Request for Proposal for industry review. Specific details regarding the timing of the release and other pertinent information will be provided via a modification to this synopsis. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government may not respond to any specific questions or comments submitted in response to this synopsis or information provi ded as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not award a contract resulting from this synopsis. *****
