Description

The Smithsonian Institution is seeking proposals, under Solicitation F0336SOL0020, to provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform preventive maintenance, repair, emergency service, equipment inspection and call back service on all heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, water treatment and other ancillary HVAC equipment at the National Zoological Park (NZP), Washington, DC and the Conservation and Research Center (CRC), Front, Royal, VA. Currently, including both facilities, there are approximately 2,400 pieces of equipment/systems under contract for service, inspection, maintenance and repair. Work provided under the contract is covered by the Service Contract Act of 1965 (As Amended) and other applicable federal regulations with regard to wages, hours of work and working conditions. Offerors will be required to submit a comprehensive technical proposal along with pricing. Technical and price proposals will be evaluated in accordance with instructions and criteria provided in the solicitation documents. Copies of the solicitation will be available on or about July 3, 2003. The date for receipt of proposals will be in the request for proposals (RFP). Requests for the RFP will be accepted in writing only on company letter head which must contain, at a minimum, company name, complete address (no PO Box numbers), phone/FAX numbers and point of contact. Requests for the RFP must be sent to the following: Smithsonian Institution, Office of Contracting, PO Box 37012, 750 9th Street, NW, Suite 6200, Washington, DC 20013-7012 and, will be accepted by FAX at 202.275.1263, Attn.: Lloyd McGill. No technical questions will be answered by phone. All technical inquiries must be in writing. No requests for the RFP will be honored by phone.
