Description
**********Modification Number 00002 ********** The proposal due date is now changed to Friday, 27 June 2003, 4:30pm EST. The following amendments to the Statement of Work are incorporated: Contractor will not begin work until all required permits are received. The US Air Force will reclaim all CFCs from the freezers and central air conditioning system, additionally the Air Force will remove the central air conditioning unit located on the south side of the building. The water line and gas line (Plastic 1 to 2in in diameter) will be capped at the main located on the south side of the building. The gas line will be capped with the gas running (Hot Capped). The chilled water feed line for the building cooling system has been identified as asbestos containing material, this line will be cut below grade (approximately 4 feet down) at the vertical 90-degree elbow and disposed of as asbestos containing material. The remaining underground line, which extends approximately 180 feet from the building to the main, will be capped at the main and left undisturbed in place. The work area will be cordoned off using standard mesh construction fence, grass located within the cordoned work area will be cut and edged to a height of no greater than 3 to 5 inches in length. The equipment room located on the south side of the building contains no visible asbestos, and none is identified in the asbestos survey. The contractor will remove the brick siding and walkway located at the front entrance to the building. The Air Force will remove certain identified kitchen equipment located within the building. The remaining stainless steel kitchen equipment to include all fixed hoods and ducts, 2 ovens, the main serving line, miscellaneous serving carts, counters and sinks, all remaining furniture, and miscellaneous items will become the property of the contractor for recycling or disposal.
