Description
PROFESSIONAL PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE REHABILITATION OF FLOOD CONTROL DAMS IN COAL, WASHITA, AND SEQUOYAH COUNTIES, OKLAHOMA. (Scope of Work) The scope of the solicitation will be for the performance of all surveys, planning, and design necessary to complete the rehabilitation of five high hazard flood control dams in Oklahoma. Three separate contracts will be issued, one for each rehabilitation project. The projects include the Sallisaw Creek Watershed dams No. 32, 33, and 34, which are located in Sequoyah County. These dams are in series in an urban to agricultural environmental setting. Housing development has occurred both downstream of the dams and around the reservoirs since the dams were constructed. The Cobb Creek Watershed dam No. 1 in Washita County, also known as Crowder Lake, is a multipurpose flood control structure providing recreation storage. The Caney-Coon Creek Watershed dam No. 2 in Coal County is a multipurpose flood control structure providing municipal water supply storage. Estimated price range for each contract is $350,000-$1,000,000. SURVEY (Scope of Work) The scope of the solicitation will be for the performance of engineering surveys necessary for water resources projects and legal boundary surveys of easement areas, including ingress and egress. The engineering surveys will include, but may not be limited to, reservoir sediment surveys, topographic storage surveys, detailed embankment surveys, and downstream profiles and cross-sections for flood mapping. Legal boundary surveys for property easements under the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) will include, but may not be limited to, location and measurement of easement boundaries, including ingress and egress, and establishment of reference monuments and witness posts to mark extent of the surveys. The contractor will provide printed and/or electronic versions of all data collected during surveys, as specified by the task order. The surveys will be conducted according to guidelines and requirements set forth in NRCS regulations.
