Description
NA The U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has a requirement for the operation and maintenance of the Classified Material Destruction Facility (CMDF) at Fort Bragg. The period of performance is 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004 (plus 4 one-year o ptions). This CMDF is the only facility of this type in the U.S. Army Forces Command installation-level destruction facilities on the East Coast. The facility processes a combined total of approximately 10,000 pounds of classified/sensitive materials per week, which includes, but is not limited to, Privacy Act data, For Official use Only, and Personal in Nature, etc. The CMDF includes destruction by incineration, pulverization, and shredding of classified/sensitive materials. The Contractor shall open t he facility at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. The Contractor shall instruct customers in the proper use and care of the shredding, pulverizing, and incinerating equipment. He will ensure that materials are on hand each day to perform daily/weekly main tenance of equipment. He will ensure that customers comply with all posted and special safety requirements, e.g., use of protective eyewear, hearing muffs, maintenance of bagging hopper, etc. However, the Contractor is NOT responsible for the actual dest ruction of classified materials. This requirement is 100 percent set-aside for small business. Contractor shall be required to possess a SECRET facility clearance. Also, each employee shall have a SECRET Security Clearance at the time of award. Upon re lease to the public, the solicitation for this service will be available via the Internet at website, www.bragg.army.mil/www-doc/Contractors/SOLICIT.HTM and the actual bid opening date and hour will be annotated in the solicitation. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR). For determining business size on this project, the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7389/$5.0 million. North American Industry Classication (NAICS) is 561499.
