- Description
- Apply herbicide on 554 acres of longleaf pine forests for the purpose of controlling hardwood competition and improving quality of habitat for the Red-cockade Woodpecker. Herbicide shall be applied using articulated rubber-tire skidder with computer-controlled application. Site preparation rates of Chopper (herbicide) and OPTIMA (surfactant) are to be applied on 226 acres. A release rate of Arsenal (herbicide) is to be applied on 328 acres. The period of performance shall be September 1, 2003 through October 15, 2003. The solicitation is set aside for small business and is subject to simplified acquisition procedures. The estimated price range is within $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 113110. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about July 11, 2003. A site showing will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. The pre-bid meeting will begin at 9:00 A.M. in the conference room, Building 2563, Engineer Road at Essayons Road, Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
