Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Applied Biosystems on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source for the purchase of accessories to go with the Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers that are being purchased against Applied Biosystems GSA Contract GS-26F-5927A. The open market accessories are as follows: NT-Based Peripheral Cable (Part Number WC024736), Quantity 6 each; National Instruments 16 Bit ADC Kit (Part Number WC024920), Quantity 2 each; API On-site Support (Part Number N020-0514) Quantity 2 days; and Analyst Software version 1.3 license(1) (Part Number 1004503), Quantity 2. The delivery time for this requirement is 60 days after receipt of order and delivery shall be FOB Destination, to NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Charleston, South Carolina. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed delivery order with Applied Biosystems for the Contract Items and the Open Market Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement for or submit quotes for the Open Market Items by July 2, 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
