- NASA/GRC has a requirement for: Item 1: 1 each - 20-slot expansion box PX20/814/817/RACK/OP 20-slot expansion box with high speed serial host interface consisting of DS814, PC-side PCI bus DS817, and opto cables, rack mount front panel (19 slots free) Item 2: 1 each - PPC Board DS1005 PPC Board PowerPC 750, 480 MHz, 128MB SDRAM and 16MB Flash Memory Item 3: 2 each - High Speed A/D Board Item 4: 3 each - DAC, 6 channels DS2102 DAC, 6 channels, 16-bit. Item 5: 1 each - PHS Bus cable PHS-CAB9 PHS Bus cable with 9 connectors and terminator Item 6: 1 each - Control Development Package CDP Control Development Package, containing Real Time Interface Software, ControlDesk Standard Developer Softwareand MLIB/MTRACE Software Item 7: 1 each - Microtec Power PC Cross Compiler CCPPPC Microtec PowerPC Cross Compiler S1103/DS1005/MicroAutoBoxCompiler) Item 8: 2 each - Connector Panel CP2001 Connector Panel for DS2001 (2 M.U. required) Item 9: 3 each - Connector Panel CP2102 Connector Panel for DS2102 (2 M.U. required) Item 10: 1 each - Rack case CP-RACK Rack case for connector panels (14 M.U. available) Item 11: 1 each - C language host interface library CLIB C language hose interface library. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from dSPACE Inc., this purchase is justified sole source by, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. (FAR 6.302-1) The products ordered must work with several products already purchased, the purchase of items from another source will create a substatial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. These products must interface with Simulink and Real-time workshop. Current Simulink programs can be transfered to real hardware implementation thus saving a great deal of engineering time. Current simulink motor and magnetic bearing controllers can be modified and tested to work on the new system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 12, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
