- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into fully competitive negotiations with qualified sources of supply. The NAWCADLKE intends to procure Weapon Skids and Adapters to be used on the V-22 aircraft as follows: six (6) each Adapter, Skid (Front), P/N 64A114D16-1; six (6) each Adapter (Rear) P/N 64A114D17-1; five (5) each Adapter, Weapon Skid, P/N 2483105; and five (5) each Skid, Weapon, P/N 1500AS100-1. The split ramp provides for rapid means of loading and unloading personnel and cargo through the aft end of the fuselage during ground and flight operations. The front Weapon Skid adapter is mounted with the rear Weapon Skid Adapter, P/N 64A114D17-1 to P/N 1500AS100-1 Weapon Skid. P/N 2483105 Weapon Skid platform is mounted to top to make a complete assembly. Widths of the respective bases (10? and 15?) match the mounting rails on the 1500AS100-1 Weapon Skid. The 2483105 Weapon Skid Adapter ?Platform? is mounted to a set of Aero 58A Weapon Skid Adapters which are mounted on the 1500AS100-1 Weapon Skid to make a complete assembly. A layer of closed cell foam P/N MIL-P-15280 is placed on the platform for protection of the ramp. The 2483105 Weapon Skid Adapter provides a flat 32? X 90? aluminum surface. This ?Platform? will be issued without the removable stakes. The 2483105 attaches directly to the Aero 58A Weapon Skid Adapter through a series of mounting holes. The Weapon Skid, P/N 1500AS100-1 is fitted with a set of Aero 58A Weapon Skid Adapters and a 2483105 Weapon Skid Adapter ?Platform? to make a complete assembly. A layer of closed cell foam P/N MIL-P-15280 is placed on the platform for protection of the ramp. The 1500AS100-1 Weapon Skid is a transporter with 14? tires and a deadman brake. Mounting rails are 10? apart (front) and 15? apart (rear) allowing attachment of various adapters. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. The Government does not own data rights or technical drawings. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. Inspection and acceptance shall occur at source. All finished Weapon Skids and Adapters are to be shipped FOB destination by 03 SEPT 2003. In addition, the packing/packaging will be best commercial practice. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be faxed upon request. However all requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-03-T-0025. The RFQ will NOT appear on NAVAIR homepage.
